Estimating Materials

Accurately estimating the square footage of your attic or crawlspace is essential to determine how much UltraBanPro you’ll need. Coverage rates are approximate and can vary depending on surface conditions.

Basic Coverage

arrow_forward_ios   Approximate coverage of 400 square feet per gallon.
arrow_forward_ios   As packaged (5 gallons) 2000 square feet.
arrow_forward_ios   With added Borate and water (7 gallons) 2800 square feet

Attic Estimation Formula

create   Multiply the base square footage of the home by 1.5.

Crawlspace Estimation Formula

create   Multiply the base square footage of the crawlspace by 2.

Material Preparation

How to properly mix and prepare UltraBan PRO before spraying. Preparation guide covers how to add liquid borate, how to agitate the solution, diaphragm pump usage and PC138 sprayer instructions. Following these steps helps to ensure UltraBan Pro is applied correctly and performs as intended.
filter_1   Blend UltraBan PRO before each use.
filter_2   While mixing UltraBan PRO, add 1 gallon of liquid borate.

Important! You must add borate under agitation to prevent shocking.

filter_3   Partially fill empty borate bottle with warm water, shake vigorously to remove borate residue. Add more water to fill rinsed bottle to one gallon volume and add to pail while under agitation.
filter_4   Optional: You may add 2-3 ounces of ProFoam Platinum per gallon for foaming application.  (Add last)
looks_5   Mix for 3 more minutes until thoroughly incorporated into a smooth blend.
looks_5   Blend when pail has set for more than 1 hour(s) of blending.
filter_1   Remove pump and inline filters to prevent clogging.
filter_2   Remove lid from PRO and begin blending product with drill mixer.
filter_3   Optional: Add 1 gallon of liquid borate (see above section for proper blending.)
filter_4   Filter contents with included strainer when pouring product into pump.
filter_5   Follow pump operation instructions.
filter_1   Remove lid from UltraBan PRO.
filter_2   Secure included Gamma Seal lid to pail and unscrew top.
filter_3   Blend product with drill mixer.
filter_4   Optional: add 1 gallon of liquid borate (see above section for proper blending).
filter_5   Screw pump assembly onto pail.
filter_6   Included strainer may be used to prevent clogs. Cover the pickup tube of the sprayer or filter the contents prior to spraying.
filter_7   Connect hose and spray wand assembly.
filter_8   Follow pump operating instructions.

UltraBan PRO Spray Application

Remove or cover stored items in area.
add_circle   Step 2
Clean visibly dirty areas with a mixture of UltraMean2. Surface discoloration may remain if not removed before the application of UltraBan PRO.

Apply UltraBan PRO to all surface areas (wood, concrete) until saturation. PRO’s dried film will provide protection on the surfaces where it is present.

Thoroughly clean equipment, tools and containers with soap and water.

Applying to dry surfaces is recommended. Air and surface temperature must be above 40°F.

Do not apply if risk of wash-off exists prior to drying (typically 30 min - 2 hours, same rate as water).
